On the Road!

June 15, 2008 at 4:30 pm (Uncategorized)

We are cruising! It’s exciting and surreal to finally be on the road. At one point this morning I looked at all of our gear stacked in the driveway and thought there was no way we were going to fit. It took a little over two hours to get everything arranged, but once we did we had more than enough space.

Before we get much further we want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to Andy P. and his family. Andy’s family is letting us use their RV for this trip. They just got back from a trip last night with the RV. On the way home they had a tire blow-out and had to tow the RV to get it repaired. They could have stopped and taken their time getting home but they kept moving so that we could leave on time this morning. We have been so blessed be their family’s support of what we are doing!

About 20 minutes ago we crossed the Georgia/Alabama border on I-85. We should be arriving in New Orleans around 7-8pm Central Time.

We’ll share some pictures and video from our maiden voyage later tonight.

Glad your team is on the road, that’s awesome!!! You mentioned that you had crossed the border into Alabama. Obviously your passports were acceptable to the Alabama authorities. That’s great!!!

In a bit, I will attempt to add a new album to my Facebook page entitled
“Photos by Caleb”. He definitely has photo and video potential.

    Love,

    Dad – George
